Acupuncture supports the whole person, and that includes mental and emotional health. Simply based on the law of the Five-Elements, acupuncture helps to regulate the emotions of Anger (Wood), Sadness (Fire), Apathy (Earth), Grief (Metal) and Fear (Water). When we experience these emotions in excess or deficiency, our emotional and mental health is not balanced. Acupuncture is highly effective for reducing stress, which certainly creates a more calm and clear mind, and is useful in the treatment of anxiety and depression.
